During this FREE PSAT Mini Boot Camp, each part of the SAT will be broken down; students will be introduced to the SAT mindset, receive strategies and
tools to navigate the test, and learn how best to approach the test.
What does the PSAT Mini Bootcamp include?
The PSAT Mini Bootcamp is led by our College Exam Specialist and focuses on connecting students to all available resources online. Students will learn how to utilize those resources as they look to take the PSAT. We will discuss what the PSAT includes and help break it down, so it doesn’t seem so daunting. We know that getting an early start in seeing the test is a huge benefit to getting a higher score and that a good SAT score is a crucial element in many scholarship and college applications. Most middle and high schools do not have a dedicated College Exam Specialist to help students with their endeavors, so Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School is offering our college prep services for middle school students in our community.
What is expected of parents that day?
Students should arrive by 8:45 a.m. for check-in and a temperature check. Check-in is under the CRISTO REY TAMPA sign to the left of the church. All participants must wear a mask. Parents are invited to stay for coffee and learn more about Cristo Rey Tampa High School and Corporate Work Study Program. Student pick-up is at noon.
What should students bring?
If the student has an electronic device such as a Chromebook, they may bring them to use during the session. Books, paper, and pencils, as well as snacks and water, will be provided.
