Dear Cristo Rey Tampa Parents and Guardians:

The school year is fast approaching, and we are looking forward to seeing students both virtually and on-campus.

I assure you that my staff and I have been planning and preparing for a safe return. While this school year will look different than in years past, we are committed to providing the safest back-to-school environment possible for our students based on the CDC (Centers for Disease Control & Prevention) guidelines.

Expertise from the medical community regarding COVID-19 is invaluable for us as we prepare to reopen our school to our students, teachers, and staff. We have partnered with BayCare for them to assess the campus and recommend safety protocols and procedures to ensure we are taking all of the necessary precautions to safeguard students and staff.

Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School will tentatively start school on Monday, August 24, following the guidance of Hillsborough County Public Schools Superintendent Addison Davis and Bishop Gregory Parkes of the Diocese St. Petersburg.  

We are instituting several flexible options to ensure that you, and your child, are comfortable and feel safe this academic year. Students can participate in eLearning, on-campus learning, or a combination of both.

These are challenging times for all of us, and I know you have concerns about school reopening. My staff and I are available to you at any time to answer your questions, and together we will make it a successful and safe school year.

El año escolar se acerca rápidamente y estamos ansiosos por ver a los estudiantes tanto virtualmente como en persona en la escuela.

Le aseguro que mi personal y yo hemos estado planeando y preparándonos para que el regreso a la escuela sea seguro. Si bien este año escolar tendrá un aspecto diferente al de los años anteriores, estamos comprometidos a proporcionar a nuestros estudiantes el regreso a la escuela más seguro posible siguiendo las pautas del CDC (Centros para el Control y la Prevención de Enfermedades).
