President Scott Morreale joined Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School & Corporate Work Study Program in August and hit the ground running. Now, 100 days at Cristo Rey Tampa (CRT), and we look at the impact of our new leader.

From expanding Corporate Work StudyProgram (CWSP) options for students to seeking full accreditation for the school, no task is too small or large for this fearless leader. Morreale works daily with his team to deliver an engaging and rich educational experience for students, a professional and supportive environment for teachers ad staff, and to shine a light on a Catholic high school education coupled with a Corporate Work Study experience.

Morreale believes that teamwork is vital to the success of shining a light on the CRT mission. Since his arrival, the work environment and culture have been structured to provide more collaboration amongst teams, and he has become an active part of the Salesian culture. To ensure that the Salesian way and support are felt throughout the campus, our new leader works closely with Fr. Franco Pinto, SDB, Director of Mission for CRT, Director of Mary Help of Christians Center and Salesians of Florida to provide an environment that fosters faith, service to all, and to motivate students.

This new CRT leader also knows an integral part of the CRT team is Corporate Work Study Partners and the community at large. He works with local businesses to cultivate a CWSP partnership and attends community events alongside students. Recently, Morreale added six new job teams and has more in the pipeline. Morreale shared, “I am grateful for the support this community shows Cristo Rey Tampa. I am thankful for all of the community members who are committed to getting our students to and through college and welcome others to join us.”

There is still much work ahead for Scott Morreale. He is a faith-filled man, who loves details, on a mission with a plan to make Cristo Rey Salesian Tampa High School a well rounded Catholic educational option for families who may not have otherwise considered a private education.

100-Day Highlights:

  • Added new Corporate Work Study jobs for students
  • Reorganization of administrative duties
  • Added to the CRT team: Alumni Coordinator and Director of Finance & Operations
